LAN-CAT5e-P+ II (R) diverts surge energy to earth via DIN Rail or Ground-wire Screw (M3).
LAN-CAT6-IS, LAN-1000IS, and LAN-1000IS-2 uses isolation transformer technology and prevent surge from passing from LINE side to EQUIP side. Does not require a connection to ground.
LAN-CAT5e-P+ II (R) can be used in power over Ethernet (PoE/PoE+) applications.
LAN-1000IS and LAN-1000IS-2 are not UL Listed.
